"None" evolution pet?
I finally managed to powerlevel my heroes' pets and U can imagine how surprised I was when I realised they (the pets) haven't achieved any type of evolution.... they reached lvl 20 but are neither Dire, Hearty nor even Elder... what do U guys think it means? does it influence their combat potential in any way? I mean; I wouldn't mind if they just became Elder evolution, but None sounds a bit dissapointing... Should I just get rid of them and try to evolve them some other way (btw: is it possible to remove a pet from a hero at all?) what do you think :-[

Pet names of your heroes won't change, even if they evolve iirc.

Sure about that? I could swear I've seen heroes' pets with their evolutions included in the name....

Yeah if they're evolved it will definitely show it. Right now my Kahmu has an Aggressive White Moa (don't ask why my Kahmu has a pet plz >.<). If you were actively using the pets with real builds then it's not too surprising that they didn't get any special evolution.
The Hearty evolution comes when your pet takes a lot of damage but deals very little damage. The Dire evolution comes when you pet deals a lot of damage but takes very little damage. If your pets didn't evolve then they all recieved a pretty balanced ratio of taking and recieving damage. I think you can drop hero pets now at the tamers so if you really wanted either a hearty or dire evolution you could always restart :/ Sorry about that. |

no evolution happens, but it's also exactly the same as elder and in almost every case (with a VERY rare exception of the true hardcore Beastmaster) it's perfectly fine.

From looking at the picture I'm assuming you levelled the pets while in a wurm from start to finish. In this case neither you or the pet receive or deal any damage (it's only the wurm). This has the same effect as you and the pet doing and receiving exactly the same damage, hence the no evolution as described in the pet evolution guide.
Not that it matters since it makes the pet the equivalent of an elder pet as already mentioned. |

Exactly. I powerleveled them in HM while in Junundu, and the pets died the moment we jumped into these wurms. They remained dead for the whole time...
If U say, they just became equivalent of Elder, as this type of evolution has neither any bonuses nor limitations; it's absolutely fine with me EDITED the pets have 480 HP, so I presume they are just Elder evolution... one final question: Is it possible to remove the pet from a hero the similar way one can remove a pet from one's character? Quote:
The pet appears dead because it can't show 2 health bars go at exactly the same rate the whole time since there is only one party member (the wurm) taking damage. Once you get in a wurm it's no longer your health or your pets health, but the wurm's health, hence when you leave the wurm both you and your pet appear with full health regardless of how much health the wurm had. With regards to removing a pet from a hero, just do it the same way you would drop your own pet. Take the hero and their pet in your party to a pet tamer (outside Ascalon, Shing Jea Monastery or Sunspear Great Hall for the first tamer in each campaign (excluding presearing)) and he'll ask if you want to remove the pet from that hero. If you bring your pet and 3 heroes with pets to a tamer you'll get a choice of which pet you want to drop. |
